Privacy and exported fields

Destinations use an explicit allowlist. UserGist forwards structured feedback and survey answers so they can be analyzed in Amplitude and Mixpanel. Raw short-text and long-text answers, request titles or descriptions, comments, and arbitrary custom properties remain in UserGist.

Common fields

  • usergist_event_key, app ID, environment, identity state, and subject role
  • Platform, SDK version, app version, country, and event time when available
  • The UserGist session UUID as a normal event property

Category fields

No raw IP address is sent. Amplitude client IP tracking is omitted and Mixpanel receives ip=0, preventing the UserGist server address from being used for geolocation.

For short-text and long-text questions, destination events include the question details plus answer_present and answer_text_length, but not answer_value or answer_display_value. The complete answer remains available in the UserGist user activity timeline.

Provider copies are separate

A UserGist privacy deletion does not automatically delete events already accepted by Amplitude or Mixpanel. Use the provider's deletion tools as well.
