Billing & plans

userGist starts each eligible account with a 14-day, no-card trial and then bills per workspace. This page covers what's metered, where to find invoices, and how usage maps to charges.

Plans

Starter's founding price is permanent for the first 100 paid customer accounts and can be claimed once per owner. There is no ongoing free plan. A seven-day grace period follows the trial so owners can subscribe without immediately losing access.

See usergist.com/pricing for current limits and pricing.

What's metered

  • Billing-period Active Users (MAU) — unique anonymous or identified app users who send at least one accepted SDK event during the exact Paddle subscription period. Identifying an anonymous user merges the two identities for billing.
  • Overage — finalized once per completed subscription period and rounded up in blocks of 1,000 MAU.

The Workspace → Billing page shows the live counter, included MAU, projected overage, and finalized billing-period history.

Billing → Usage. MAU, events, and pushes vs. plan caps.

Change plan

Billing → Change plan. Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect at renewal; if the new app limit is lower, choose which apps remain active before scheduling it.

Invoices

Use Manage in Paddle on the Billing page to update payment details, review invoices, or manage cancellation.

Payment provider

userGist uses Paddle as the merchant of record. That means your invoice comes from Paddle Inc. (US/UK/EU VAT-compliant) and any tax handling is done by them — not us. The billing experience is otherwise transparent.
