Make announcements a two-way conversation.

Introduce a feature with an in-app message, then ask how it worked with a survey. Give users a separate place to suggest improvements and follow your roadmap. UserGist brings these product-team workflows together.

Questions about UserGist vs Appcues.

Does UserGist replace Appcues product tours?

No. UserGist offers modals, slide-ups, and full-screen messages. Guided tours with attached tooltips and onboarding checklists are a different workflow and are not presented here as UserGist features.

Can Appcues collect feedback as well as show messages?

Yes. Appcues includes surveys. UserGist adds a Customer Portal for requests, roadmap updates, release notes, and help content alongside its in-product interactions.

Can UserGist include people who have not signed up?

Yes. UserGist supports anonymous and identified app users. Configure the appropriate audience and consent settings for feedback, surveys, and messages. Public portal access has separate settings.

How should I plan a move from Appcues?

List the workflows you rely on first. Review exports, user identities, consent, SDK coverage, and existing links. Test a small campaign before replacing anything live; this comparison does not promise a one-click importer or automatic transfer of subscriptions.
